We would like to thank everyone who helped to make our 2015 NCCCSPA Annual Conference a success!
First and foremost, a big thank you goes to our members. Without you, we would not be able to achieve our purpose to promote communication and cooperation among NC sociology and psychology faculty, to address issues and policies of interest to these disciplines, to provide opportunities for professional and career development, and to support effective teaching.
For those of you who joined us in Kill Devil Hills this year, we had a blast! For those of you that were unable to attend, you were sincerely missed. We hope to see everyone next year!
Another thank you goes to our sponsors: Pearson, Cengage, and McGraw-Hill publishers. Pearson was kind enough to sponsor our Happy Hour, and we learned about their web-based resources on the final day of the conference. Cengage and McGraw-Hill were wonderful as well, and we learned a lot about their offerings during the textbook browsing time on Thursday.
The Ramada Plaza Nags Head was a beautiful place to hold a conference, and a thank you must go to the event staff. Not only did we have a fantastic view of the ocean from our conference room, but we had attentive staff available at a moment's notice to help us to pull it all off smoothly. And the Coastal Italian buffet was delicious!
A final thank you goes to Kitty Hawk Kites Adventures who provided gear and a guide for our Post-Conference Adventure on the High Seas. We had so much fun kayaking through the maritime forest that we're already looking for ways to include more of these optional outings at future conferences. Don't you want to join us next time?
Speaking of next time...we're busy planning our 2016 NCCCSPA Annual Conference, which will be held in Charlotte, NC. We're changing things up a little this year, and are issuing a Call for Proposals to our members and interested parties to provide our conference sessions. Do you have something that you would like to see? Let us know! Would you like to present something yourself? Keep your eyes open for the Call for Proposals to be released here on our website. It's coming soon!
Thank you all for your support and involvement over the years. We hope that you will keep up with us through social media to learn about all of the new and exciting things coming your way. Use the social media icons below to follow us.
Stay tuned...there's more to come!
